Walking, orienteering and info
Location of the Olympia Village
The Olympic Village is located in the center of Tampere, on Keskustori. All walking routes and Orienteering start from the Olympia Village. Walking routes will also finish in the Olympia Village, where you get the IVV-stamp.
Tampere Keskustori is easily accessible by public transport (stop: Keskustori). The Olympiad pass includes travel rights on Nysse buses and trams.
The distance from Tampere railway station to Keskustori is about 700 metres.
There are several car parks in the centre of Tampere, with a short walk to Keskustori:
P-Tullintori, P-Ratina, P-Frenckell, P-Hämpin Parkki.

Cycling and Orienteering
Location of Kauppi Sport Center
Kauppi Sport Center is located about 4 km from Keskustori’s Olympia Village. All cycling routes start next to Kauppi Sport Center, by the service building of the Kauppi sports area (Kuntokatu 24) and the orientation area is located next to the Sport Center in the Kauppi Sport Park (orientation start and map from Olympia Village).
Kauppi Sports Center is easily accessible by public transport. Nysse buses and trams are conveniently located nearby – the nearest stop is TAYS, which is a short walk from the sports centre. The Olympiad Pass includes travel rights on Nysse buses and trams.
For short-term parking (under 3 hours), spaces are available in the yard area of Kauppi Sports Center. For long-term parking, use the Finnpark P-Kauppi parking hall (Kuntokatu 9).

Swimming
Location of the Lake Kaukajärvi
The clear water Kaukajärvi lake is located about 10 km from Keskustori Olympia Village. All swimming takes place by the Kaukajärvi public sauna. The public sauna is open and available for a fee during the opening hours.
Kaukajärvi Sauna is easily accessible by public transport (bus stop: Kaukajärvi). There is limited parking available near the sauna, so we recommend using public transport. The Olympiapass includes travel rights on Nysse buses and trams.

Canoeing
Location of Kaupinoja beach
Kaupinoja beach is located on the shore of Lake Näsijärvi, about 3.5 km from Keskustori Olympia Village. All canoeing takes place there.
Kaupinoja Beach is easily accessible by public transport (stop: Tays). The walking distance from the stop is about 1 km. There is limited parking available at the beach, so we recommend using public transport. The Olympiapass includes travel rights on Nysse buses and trams.

Opening and Closing Ceremonies
Pyynikki Sports Field
The Olympic Opening Parade of Flags will proceed from the southern end of Hämeenpuisto to Pyynikki Sports Field on Thursday, 14 August 2025, from 2 PM to 3 PM.
The Opening Ceremony will take place at Pyynikki Sports Field from 3 PM to 5 PM.
The Closing Ceremony will be held on Sunday, 17 August, from 3 PM to 5 PM at Pyynikki Sports Field.
Pyynikki Sports Field is easily accessible by public transport (stop: Pyynikintori). There is limited street parking available nearby. We recommend using public transport. The Olympiapass includes travel rights on Nysse buses and trams.
